Two players may share a position, country or scoring record, but a full chain of clubs is often unique. Transfer Trail starts with the least complete version of that fingerprint and adds senior spells in order. A formative academy move, unusual loan or late-career destination can be the detail that makes the whole answer click.
Read direction, not just badges
The useful information is often the relationship between clubs. A route can show a young player stepping up through divisions, a star crossing rival leagues or an experienced professional returning home. Reading that direction makes the clue more solvable than treating every badge as an isolated fact.
The early-guess trade-off
You have 60 seconds, and the standard 1.20-point maximum falls as the trail expands. Familiar opening clubs may justify an early risk; a common route may be worth waiting on. Wrong guesses reduce the remaining reward, so quick recognition and careful deduction both matter.

Clue XI uses reviewed senior club spells from the same football database as the main game. Youth-only teams are not used as the answer trail.
Are the clubs shown in career order?
Yes. Clubs are revealed in the order of the player's senior career, including reviewed loan spells where relevant.
How many points can Transfer Trail award?
The standard maximum is 1.20 points. It can reach 2.40 points when Transfer Trail is the daily featured mini-game.
How scoring fits the Clue XI arcade
The standard maximum is 1.20 points. One mini-game is featured each day and earns double points, but every game remains available.
