How to play & which players count

We pick a current 2026/27 Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga or Ligue 1 club, then a nationality with at least 16 distinct eligible players at that club. Name any five.

Past and present players count, including loans, with at least one recorded senior league appearance in a spell ending in 1980 or later. The club must be in one of those leagues this season; the player does not have to play there now. We use the primary nationality in our reviewed player database, not necessarily their national team.

Full names, recognised aliases and unambiguous short names are accepted. Accents are optional. Each player counts once. There is no timer or guess limit.

A free account is required to play. Earn 0.20 points per correct answer, up to 1.00 point per club/nationality combination each day. Progress and rewards are saved to your account. Replaying or refreshing cannot earn duplicate points. Revealing answers ends scoring for that combination until the next day, which starts at midnight London time. These are regular ClueXI points, not premium points.
